Cabbage Soup for Weight Loss – Fast & Easy Recipes

Cabbage Soup

This is the cabbage soup from the well-known cabbage soup diet. As mentioned many times, I’m not a big fan of diets, including this one, however, this soup has a lot of powerful detox and healing nutrients that I love, so I add the soup to my meal plans.

The diet has been modified and updated so many times, the amounts are not as important as it seems, just getting the cabbage in there is most important as it contains choline to help detox the liver, something we all need in modern times with all the toxins we absorb daily.

Ingredients

Half a head of cabbage

6 large green onions

2 green peppers

3 CARROTS

1 container of mushrooms

1 bunch of CELERY

1 or 2 cans of tomatoes

2 garlic cloves

1/2 teaspoon oregano, basil, Redmond real salt or pink salt,

1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional) –
(Beef bouillon contains MSG and is not just unhealthy but very dangerous.
I USE NOTHING with MSG in it.  With any broths use ONLY natural broths with NO MSG and not big ingredient words you can’t pronounce.

Season with salt, pepper, curry, turmeric, parsley, or any seasoning that is preferred

Directions

Saute chopped onions, peppers, celery in 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil for 4-5 minutes until soft

Then add minced garlic cloves and spices

add cabbage

add 4 cups broth or water with bouillon

add 1-2 cans of tomatoes

cook 10 – 20 minutes or more for your liking

add 1/2 lemon juice squeezed lemon, parsley, pepper
